Residential Building on Alley Street
Residential Building on Alley Street

In 1933, the Council of People's Commissars of the Uzbek SSR decided to build Uzbekistan's third hydroelectric power station — the Burjar HPP. A residential building was constructed for the builders and power engineers near Beshagach Square, on Alley Street (now Furkat 7th Dead End).

According to the recollections of old residents, the building was designed by Leningrad architects, which is why it has window projections to increase apartment lighting — suitable for cloudy Leningrad but entirely inappropriate for sunny Tashkent.

The construction date — 1935 — is laid out in bricks on the building.

The beautiful, unique building for Tashkent is a favorite object during excursions and walks for Tashkent residents.
